Duties:

• Registration/Sign-In Table:
  Volunteer will sign –in participants that would like to have their blood pressure taken.  All staff that is interested should allow participants to get their blood pressure done first.
• Medical Person:
  Medical Volunteer will take blood pressures of participants and staff.  Medical Volunteer will also maintain confidential records.  All records will remain at Senior Center and pulled only on the days of blood pressure taking.  Medical Volunteer will advise participant or staff if the blood pressure is high to contact their physician.  A staff person should be made aware of participant’s condition.

Qualifications:

• Has a medical background (nurse, certified nurses assistant) to take actual blood pressure
• Some clerical skills
• Good communication skills
