The Inglewood Police Activities League (IPAL) in partnership with Loyola Marymount University will be hosting its first “Funky Fresh Fashion Show” on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Loyola Marymount University, University Hall. Proceeds from this fashion show will benefit the IPAL Program year-round services to help prevent and reduce juvenile crime and delinquency in the City of Inglewood.

The fashion show will consist of many different “models” showcasing their personally chosen attire from one of the following four categories:

  1. Casual
  2. Business/Professional
  3. Black-tie
  4. Ethnic/Cultural

The models will also select the type of music they want to model to:

  1. Rock & Roll,
  2. Motown,
  3. Jazz,
  4. Disco or Big Band (we provide the music).

The models will come from various businesses and organizations.  Models do not necessarily have to “model,” they can showcase a talent by singing a song, acting in a small skit, or playing an instrument, etc.

Models will include politicians, students, law enforcement personnel and entrepreneurs. Tax deductible tickets are $100 each and may be purchased online or by contacting us at (310) 412-5617. All guests will check in at the reception table. No tickets will be mailed. The evening will also include a Silent Auction with complimentary hors d'oeuvres. Sponsors, individual donors and models are needed to help make this event a great success.
